The price of yes!

Reflecting over a conversation I had recently with an acquaintance of mine. A question was asked if I would give up everything I have and start over in life. Although I knew she was pertaining to the context of possessions and individual people. My response to her was if its the Lord’s will yes. She immediately responded with how can you be willing to let everything you worked so hard for go or everyone go so easily. My response to her was that’s the price of yes.

We can’t say to the father let thy will be done and then want to dictate what we want his will to be for our lives. His will might not be what we want or desire, it’s not meant to be comfortable and to our liking. Our human proclivity often tries to hold on to the very thing God wants you to let go of. If you’re trying so hard to hold on to what’s already in your hands how can you expect God to bless you with something better? This can be material things or even individual relationships, don’t be afraid to let go.

My yes cost me too much to allow anything or anyone to hinder my relationship with God. We come in this world alone with nothing and we will leave out the same way. But what about your soul? Are you willing to pay the cost to be in his will or plan for your life? Don’t be afraid to start over, it may look expensive but the reward is worth the cost!

Today’s Scripture: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 KJV

Are you battle ready?

There will always be something or someone in your life that is designed to test your faith. Nothing just happens to you unless God has allowed it to happen. To see if the posture of your heart will change if afflicted. Your ability to remain unaffected by the situation determines your level of capacity. Often times when a person is going through a storm in their life, they isolate themselves from around others. We all have been there not wanting people to see your battle scars. Trying to figure out what happened or where did they go wrong to encounter the storm they are facing. When our posture should be unshaken by the cares of life but focused on his purpose.

We have to understand that every test is not because you have sinned or done something wrong. But it may be that God is trying to stretch your capacity in order to take you to another level in your life. Can he trust you to walk out your storm undefeated? What is the posture of your heart, are you ready?

Today’s Scripture comes from the book of Job: Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that Job has is in your power, only do not put your hand on the man himself.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord .

It had to happen!

When the pressure of life happens our human proclivity tends to look for someone or something to blame. We look for what was the cause and effect of the matter. Blaming our enemies,  haters, or the devil for the outcome. But what if it had to happen that way. That very thing you are desiring and working hard to obtain or achieve is the very thing that God wants you to let go of. Sometimes he will take that very thing from you because it was not meant to be apart of your destiny.  It had to happen, no matter how deep the cut or hurt if it’s not purposeful let it go.

There is a particular passage in the book of 2 Samuel that speaks on how even the chosen King David had sinned. By impregnating Uriah’s wife Bathsheba, David was not exempt from God taking something from him that wasn’t part of his destiny. The text states that on the seventh day the Lord struck the child. It wasn’t his enemy or haters, not even the devil can get credit. But the Lord decided to remove what wasn’t apart of his purpose for David’s destiny.  Yes, it hurt and no amount of prayer and fasting could have changed the fate of the child. But that didn’t stop the plan of God for David or Bathsheba.

Why are you worried Bathsheba, let them refer to you as Uriah’s wife. You are the seed of Eliam, God is my nation. The calamity won’t change the projection of your status. Your womb will birth the next king, who will walk in the authority of the Lord. You now look down from the palace you once looked up at. Your tears paid the way for your next level.

What are you focusing on? Are you so wrapped up in your current circumstances that you are unable to see past your pain? Are you holding on to something God wants you to let go of? Are you looking for someone to blame for your situation? Get over it so you can focus on the new thing that God is bringing forth in your life.  If David and Bathsheba didn’t get past their grief from the loss of their first child, Solomon wouldn’t have been born.

I encourage you today, to let go of the dead thing. That thing that is not purposeful or producing fruit for your life. Look beyond the cost of letting go so you can focus on your next new thing. Let go of what is in your hands so you can get what is in God’s hands.

Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

The year 2020 has been a roller-coaster for practically everyone. Faced with many challenges your faith was put to the test like never before. Loved ones were lost, many people lost their jobs and homes. The reality as we once knew it is no more.  The heart of the nation and the vulnerability of mankind was exposed. A new way of life began and we had to adapt. The shifting was necessary now the chapter has come to an end.

Now one door is closed and a new one has opened.  Goodbye to my hurt and disappointment you are now in my past. My future is here I can sense greater is near. Thank you for the lessons you taught me, my tears prepared me for this moment.

Happy New Year!

The New Year 2021 is here and I’m fully equipped for the journey. Ready for the new beginning with better decision making.  Having a different outlook on life, super excited about the road ahead.

Hello 2021, I made it and I’m ready so let’s get to work!

Scripture:
So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.

Who Am I? Well, I Am Her!

I am her, strong, courageous,  intelligent,  spiritual, created by the King of Kings. Fashioned in his image, clothed by Sophia, marvelous in his eyesight. There is nothing that can stop his plan and will for my life. I will finish strong with every flawless victory. He is the Potter and I am the Clay. No calamity will erase my destiny. For I am her, beautiful and wonderfully made by the most high God. Create to be exceptional, above average, to think outside of the box. Given the ability to multiply everything that he places in my hand. My steps are ordered, the path is straight and my vision is clear. The fight is fixed and the race is already won. He is the author and the finisher of my faith. My trust is in him only, for he is faithful and has never been defeated. My ears are unplugged inclined to his voice only, my eyes are uncovered I can see him in everything.

Even when the tears fall I’m still confident in knowing that God is stretching me to increase my capacity.  The pressure of this life journey couldn’t break me because I am her. His favor rests on me like the glow and smile on my face.  I can’t shake it, this joy stems from a seed that was planted down on the inside of me. No matter what comes my way I know he has my back because he is my front. He consumes all of me even the dark places. I don’t have to hide from him. He leads me in every direction so I’m not moved or bothered by what I see. The thorns in my flesh can’t hold me hostage my spirit crave for him. For I am her, his daughter, loved by him, in love with him.  He is the “Great I Am” and I am nothing without him. So yes, I am her!

Have a blessed day!

Time to relax.

After a long and trying week, the weekend is finally here. Knowing that today is Friday and we have made it through the week anticipating a much needed relaxing weekend. Everyone looks forward to their day off, especially when you don’t have to get up early in the mornings. But let’s not make this a weak-end! It’s one thing to enjoy yourself on your time off from work but don’t allow your recreational activities to destroy your character. Your life posture should always be in a position that is pleasing to God. So this weekend, when you get around your peers, remember your stance and vow to God. Don’t allow temptations in your surroundings to distract you with temporary gratification. Stay on your journey don’t detour from the path, the end reward is just. Thank God it’s Friday!

Today’s Scripture: “He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much.

Silence the noise!

What are you hearing?

Don’t allow other people’s opinions on your life and what they expect you to receive out of it change your narrative. Even your immediate sphere of friends and family may misdiagnose your situation based on their on the limited perception of the matter. That’s why it’s best that when you are going through the different obstacles of life that you put yourself in the right posture to hear directly from God. When you find yourself trying to get an understanding of which direction you should go or looking for answers, trust in his Word! In order to hear from him, you have to silence the noise in your atmosphere. Who’s voice is louder than God’s voice in your life? Is it public opinion you seek?

Is your atmosphere conducive to hear from God? Sometimes it takes for you to cut the TV off and read your Bible and allow his Word to reveal the answers you seek. No influence from another person’s perspective should outweigh the voice of the Lord in your life. Set the atmosphere around you to usher in his presence so you can hear from him.

Today’s Scripture: The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.
